Job summary

Acme Cryogenics, Inc. seeks a skilled welder to lay out, weld, and assemble piping and vacuum jacketed systems used in cryogenic equipment. You will read blueprints, set up welds, and perform repairs with arc and TIG processes across multiple positions.

The role requires ability to interpret drawings and work safely in a manufacturing environment. Experience in ASME welding standards and 6G positioning is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related training preferred.
• Ability to weld in 6G position is preferred.
• Experience with blueprint reading and layout/fitting required or beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layout, assembles, and welds.
• Lays out, aligns, and fits components together.
• Fabricates from sketches, blueprints, or instructions.
• Welds using arc, GTAW-TIG, submerged arc, or related processes.
• Repairs/reworks products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
• Uses hand and power tools to complete tasks.
• Examines weld bead size and quality against specifications.
• Assembles spool pieces into final assemblies per drawings.
