Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. seeks a skilled welder for our on-site fabrication team. You will weld non-ferrous and ferrous metals using MIG and TIG, align parts to drawings, and verify tolerances throughout assembly.

The role requires ASME qualification and the ability to pass x-ray checks when needed. Starting wages with shift premiums reflect experience and performance. This position emphasizes precision welding, quality workmanship, and adherence to safety.

Qualifications

• Must have a welding certificate or degree from a certified technical college or equivalent.
• Minimum of 12 months professional welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret sub-assembly drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Weld to ASME codes and pass x-ray/dye-penetrant checks when required.
• Assemble and weld headers and sub-assemblies to tolerances.
• Set up welding machines and perform minor maintenance on equipment.
• Operate portable plasma cutter and use fixturing/fixtures to achieve specified tolerances.
• Work from drawings and instructions to ensure quality workmanship.
