Job summary

Merck & Co. in Millsboro, DE is seeking a Warehouse & LN Room Support Technician to assist with warehouse operations, inventory management, LN room activities, and internal customer service.

The role focuses on safe handling of materials, accurate inventory, and compliant processes in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work closely with Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing, and other internal teams to maintain material flow, support production, and ensure safety and quality

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or material handling operations preferred.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate information to colleagues at various levels.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with PC operations and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including overtime, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to follow SOPs, Good Documentation Practices, and company policies.
• Preferred: SAP or ERP experience; prior warehouse or distribution experience; forklift certification; regulated manufacturing environment; customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment and demonstrate safe work habits at all times.
• Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials and inventory transactions.
• Store, organize, and maintain raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods inventory.
• Pull, stage, and issue materials to support manufacturing and internal customer requests.
• Perform inventory transactions and maintain inventory accuracy within SAP.
• Support LN room operations, including handling, transfer, storage, and monitoring of cryogenic materials.
• Prepare and package materials for domestic and international shipments.
• Handle and transport materials requiring dry ice or liquid nitrogen shipping conditions.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other approved material handling equipment.
• Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities.
• Maintain records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Attend required trainings and assist in training new team members.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and update SOPs.
