Job summary

Chart Industries in Tulsa, OK designs and builds cryogenic equipment. The Vaporizer Product Engineer will drive concepts through manufacturing, creating precise 3D models and BOMs, and coordinating with production and design teams to meet customer needs.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, SolidWorks proficiency, and 3–5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing. On-site work on the production floor is expected with a strong emphasis on collaboration and quality.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Certification in SolidWorks is beneficial.
• Three to five years of engineering/manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software; SolidWorks required.
• Strong understanding of design for manufacturing and quality.
• General computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist sales as needed with quotes, drawings, and sketches.
• Create and maintain accurate 3D models and assemblies to reflect the mechanical design and customer requirements.
• Mechanical focal point in a team environment for layouts and design.
• Ability to work with offsite design resources and manage workload.
• Manage day to day activity in ERP system including BOMs, internal routers, documentation, and other responsibilities.
• Work closely with manufacturing team, as well as other associated departments.
• Participate in design review meetings with other departments as necessary.
• Review / Approve / Process ECRs, NCR, TDDs as needed.
• Provide support for special testing and fixtures.
• Work daily with the shop floor on projects as they move through production.
• Provide QA support for special documentation as required.
• Good interpersonal skills are a must.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
