Job summary

OPW is seeking a skilled welder to lay out, fit, and weld pipe and structural components used in precision fluid-handling systems. You will fabricate parts using arc, TIG, and submerged-arc welding methods and assemble final spool assemblies per detailed drawings.

Responsibilities include quality checks on bead size and weld integrity, repairing and reworking as needed, and working in a manufacturing environment that may require ASME Code qualification in some roles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or technical school; 1–2 years related experience.
• Ability to weld in 6G position preferred.
• Reasonable accommodations may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and fit components for welding.
• Weld using arc, GTAW (TIG), submerged arc.
• Repair/rework products by dismantling and reassembling parts.
• Inspect bead size and weld quality.
• Assemble spool pieces into final assemblies per drawings.
