Job summary

Philips in Latham, NY is seeking a Welder for the 2nd shift to join our cryogenic manufacturing team. You will perform TIG and MIG welds with precision, read engineering drawings, and fabricate assemblies using a range of metalworking operations.

The role requires 1+ year welding experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to produce vacuum-tight TIG welds on aluminum. Onsite, 2nd shift, with standard Philips benefits and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 1+ years welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform vacuum leak-tight TIG welds on aluminum.
• Experience operating bridge cranes and forklift trucks.
• Able to read and follow assembly documentation.

Responsibilities

• Complete high quality TIG and MIG welds using precision instruments.
• Fabricate intricate cryogenic assemblies with cutting, bending, drilling and tapping as required.
• Read and interpret drawings and supporting documents.
