Job summary

Philips in Latham, NY is seeking a Welder for the 2nd shift to fabricate cryogenic assemblies and perform precision TIG and MIG welds. You will read drawings, operate basic fabrication tools, and work with aluminum components in a clean, regulated environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of welding experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass physical and environmental requirements. Compensation ranges from $18.10 to $28.96 per hour plus Philips Total Rewards benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of welding experience, including mechanical assembly tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to create high quality TIG and MIG welds and perform vacuum leak tight TIG welds on aluminum.
• Experience operating bridge cranes and forklift trucks, and ability to read and write documentation to follow assembly procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete high quality TIG and MIG welds and use precision instruments.
• Cut, bend, drill, tap, and perform similar operations required to fabricate intricate assemblies encountered in cryogenic applications.
