Qualifications

  • 1+ year of welding experience, including mechanical assembly tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to create high-quality TIG and MIG welds, and to perform vacuum-tightly TIG welds on aluminum.
  • Experience operating bridge cranes and forklift trucks.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow documentation and sign off procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform precise high-quality TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel.
  • Operate and oversee an automated welding cell, including setting up equipment, monitoring performance, adjusting processes, and maintaining routine maintenance.
  • Cut, bend, drill, tap, and perform similar operations to fabricate intricate assemblies used in cryogenic applications.
  • Read and interpret drawings and supporting documents.
  • Use precision instruments as required.
