Job summary

Philips Latham, NY is hiring a Welder for the 2nd shift to join our team manufacturing MRI magnets. You will complete high quality TIG and MIG welds and use precision instruments, while performing cutting, bending, drilling, and tapping to fabricate complex cryogenic assemblies.

The role requires 1+ years of welding experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to read drawings and procedures. Onsite, full-time work with a 2nd shift schedule, located in Latham, NY.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of welding experience and ability to perform TIG and MIG welds.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficient in reading drawings and supporting documents, and performing vacuum leak-tight TIG welds on aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality TIG and MIG welds using precision instruments.
• Cut, bend, drill, and tap to fabricate intricate cryogenic assemblies.
• Read drawings, follow procedures, and sign off on documentation.
