Job summary

Philips is hiring a Welder 1 for the 2nd shift at the Latham, NY site where cryogenic magnets are manufactured. You will perform TIG and MIG welds, read drawings, and support assembly with precision tooling.

The role requires 1+ year welding experience, a high school diploma, and ability to operate bridge cranes and forklifts. Onsite, full-time, Monday–Friday, 3:20pm–11:30pm with in-person collaboration. We emphasize safety, quality workmanship, and adherence to documentation.

Qualifications

• 1+ year welding experience and ability to operate mechanical assembly tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform high-quality TIG and MIG welds and vacuum-tight aluminum welds.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and MIG welds to high quality standards.
• Cut, bend, drill, and tap components for cryogenic assemblies.
• Read and interpret drawings and supporting documents.
• Operate bridge cranes and forklift as required.
• Sign off documentation and follow assembly procedures.
