Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach is seeking engineers to design, build, and operate cryogenic and hydraulic test systems for the Terran R program. You will collaborate across teams to advance rocket testing hardware from concept to active hardware.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, data acquisition, and real-time monitoring, with a focus on safety, test plans, and reliability improvements in a fast-paced space environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Experience with pressureized flight components.
• Operating hazardous equipment with multiple energy sources.
• Building complex fluid-mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, Slack.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate pressurized cryogenic/pneumatic/hydraulic test systems.
• Develop and manage advanced data control systems for real-time monitoring.
• Provide guidance on testing best practices, capabilities, and limitations.
• Identify and mitigate hazards to maintain safe, efficient testing.
• Create and refine test plans and procedures for reliable outcomes.
• Troubleshoot reliability issues to improve hardware performance.
