Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA, seeks engineers for the Factory Test team to design, build, and operate pressurized systems for rocket testing, while developing real-time data control and ensuring safe, efficient operations. You’ll guide engineers on testing best practices and help drive reliable outcomes across a multi-disciplinary team.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware work, cross-team collaboration, and impactful contributions to Terran R testing programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of relevant technical experience, including experience with pressureized flight components.
• Operating hazardous equipment with multiple energy sources.
• Building Complex Fluid-Mechanical Systems.
• Proficiency with Basic Office Software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Slack).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate pressurized cryogenic/pneumatic/hydraulic systems to support cutting-edge rocket testing.
• Develop and manage advanced data control systems for real-time monitoring and analysis.
• Provide expert guidance to engineers on testing best practices, system capabilities, and operational limitations.
• Proactively identify and mitigate hazards to ensure a safe and efficient testing environment.
• Create, maintain, and refine test plans and procedures to drive consistent and reliable testing outcomes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve reliability issues, improving hardware performance and test efficiency
