Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking an experienced engineer for the Engine Systems & Test Team. You will work across simulation, system architecture, hotfire testing, and integration with manufacturing and Stennis groups to deliver high‑performing engines for Terran R.

The role emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and rapid delivery in a fast‑growing startup, with onsite work and travel to test sites; you will contribute to continuous improvement and define test objectives and CONOPS

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a complex engineering system development and/or test environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a science, engineering, technology, or mathematics field.
• Experience with applying engineering fundamentals in fluid mechanics & thermodynamics.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Responsible Engineer for propulsion test articles.
• Develop test plans with product owners and execute campaigns with the Stennis team.
• Own exploratory operation of new and existing test article designs and evaluate hardware behavior.
• Work across engine subsystems; perform analysis, simulations, and testing as needed.
• Take ownership of projects to increase team efficiency and impact.
