Job summary

Relativity Space, Inc. is seeking a Factory Test Technical Specialist I for the 2nd shift in Long Beach, CA. You will design, build, and operate pressurized test systems and data control setups to support cutting-edge rocket testing, collaborating with engineers to ensure safe, reliable experiments.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with hazardous systems and multi-disciplinary teams, offering a 3:00 p.m.–1:30 a.m. schedule, guaranteed overtime, and a 10% shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of relevant technical experience, including experience with pressureized flight components, operating hazardous equipment with multiple energy sources, and building complex fluid–mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with basic office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Slack).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate pressurized cryogenic/pneumatic/hydraulic systems for rocket testing.
• Develop and manage advanced data control systems for real-time monitoring and analysis.
• Provide guidance to engineers on testing practices, system capabilities, and operational limits.
• Identify and mitigate hazards to ensure a safe testing environment.
• Create and refine test plans to drive reliable testing outcomes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve reliability issues to improve hardware performance.
