Job summary

Matrix PDM Engineering seeks a Structural/Mechanical Engineer II to perform design and analysis for liquid storage structures, tanks and foundations, including LNG storage terminals and cryogenic systems. You will work with a team of engineers to support field and fabrication offices.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil (Structural) or Mechanical Engineering, 2+ years of related experience, and knowledge of structural analysis and FEA tools such as ANSYS, STAAD, or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil (Structural) or Mechanical Engineering required; MS degree preferred.
• EIT preferred.
• 2+ years related engineering experience required or equivalent educational experience.
• FEA experience preferred.
• Design experience in API-620/650/653 and ASME Section VIII preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and calculations for structures in liquid storage terminals (steel/concrete).
• Perform foundation design including piles and seismic analysis.
• Conduct linear/nonlinear structural loading, vibration, and seismic analysis for LNG and cryogenic structures.
• Prepare project documents, edit specifications, and develop design sketches.
• Collaborate with team and support field and fabrication offices.
