Job summary
A leading engineering firm in Pittsburgh is seeking an Engineer II to perform design and analysis for liquid storage structures, specialty vessels, and foundations. The position requires a BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include engineering design, calculations, and analysis for structures, especially in LNG storage and other liquid storage terminals. Qualifications
2+ years related engineering experience required or equivalent educational experience.
Design experience in API-620, API-650, API-653, ASCE, ACI, NFPA and ASME Section VIII strongly preferred.
Occasional overtime and travel may be required.
Responsibilities
Perform engineering design and calculations work for structures in liquid storage terminals for steel and concrete structures.
Perform engineering design calculations for shallow and deep foundations including pile design.
Perform analysis work including linear/nonlinear structural loading, vibration, seismic response spectrum analysis, thermal loading.
