Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking Mechanical/Fluid Engineers to design high-pressure gas and cryogenic fluid systems for test facilities. You will lead the design, develop test fixtures, and coordinate with suppliers while mentoring peers. Occasional travel and strong commitment to safety and quality are required.

You will contribute to all aspects of test stand design and collaborate across engineering teams to deliver reliable systems for spaceflight programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Systems Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of mechanical/fluids design experience.
• Proven fluid analysis and piping design expertise with component selection.
• Knowledge of fluid system components (valves, regulators, pumps) for cryogenic/propellant fluids.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.3 and ASME BPVC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own the design of high-pressure gas and cryogenic fluid systems, including process architecture.
• Design and develop mechanical test fixtures and structural supports.
• Conduct Process Hazard Analysis (HAZOP) for fluid systems.
• Manage suppliers, coordinating cost, schedule, and technical design requirements.
• Provide remote and on-site support during fabrication, installation, and start-up of facilities.
• Prepare project plans with budget, schedule, and WBS.
• Coordinate with customers to refine project scope and requirements.
• Mentor newer engineers and perform peer reviews.
