Job summary

Air Products seeks a Customer Field Service & Construction Technician to join our Customer Engineering team. This residence-based role requires 50-75% travel across the southern United States, ideally located in Georgia south of Atlanta.

Responsibilities include installing storage and processing equipment, startup support, and ensuring safety at customer sites. The position demands strong reading of technical drawings, hands-on mechanical/electrical skills, and project-management abilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Trade or technical degree preferred but not required.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.
• Ability to read technical drawings and perform inspections.

Responsibilities

• Install product storage, processing, and delivery equipment at customer sites, including cryogenic tanks, pumps, and piping for listed gases.
• Maintain high safety standards at customer sites and while driving company vehicles.
• Supervise crane contractors and serve as Lift Supervisor for equipment lifts up to 250 tons.
• Read engineering drawings and report costs for materials and labor.
• Provide ongoing maintenance support as needed.
