Job summary

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. is seeking a Construction Technician to join our Customer Engineering team.

This residence-based role requires 75% travel across the southern United States, with ideal base in North Carolina or northern South Carolina. The technician will install and service cryogenic and gaseous storage systems at customer sites, read technical drawings, and ensure safety and project management standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Trade/technical degree or apprenticeship in a related field is preferred but not required.
• Military service considered in lieu of a trade degree.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and road test with a clean driving record.
• Flexibility to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Install product storage, processing, and delivery equipment at customer sites.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair cryogenic and gaseous storage systems.
• Read engineering drawings and piping layouts; perform safe rigging and lifting.
• Supervise crane contractors as Lift Supervisor for crane lifts up to 600 tons.
• Ensure safety standards and proper documentation of materials and labor.
