Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a CryoCMOS Design Team Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team of analog, RF, digital, mixed-signal, and physical design engineers. You will drive end-to-end IC development for advanced cryogenic CMOS ICs and reusable IP, guiding architecture through tapeout and silicon bring-up.

You will provide technical direction, collaborate with PDK, modeling, test, and packaging teams, and build a high-performing organization through coaching and leadership development.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of semiconductor IC design experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary IC design teams (analog/mixed-signal, RF, digital, physical).
• Strong understanding of CMOS IC design, PVT variation, and silicon characterization.
• Ability to manage multiple complex IC development activities and meet schedules.
• Excellent communication across engineering teams, customers and leadership.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary CryoCMOS IC design team of approximately 10-20 engineers, establishing direction, priorities, resource plans, and execution strategies.
• Drive end-to-end development of CryoCMOS ICs and reusable IP across architecture, design, verification, tapeout, bring-up, and characterization.
• Provide technical leadership for complex IC development, including reviews, methodology, risk mitigation, and issue resolution.
• Develop differentiated IC solutions and reusable IP leveraging GF process technologies for cryogenic and quantum applications.
• Collaborate with PDK, modeling, test, packaging, and enablement teams to translate process capabilities into robust designs.
• Establish and improve IC design processes, reviews, quality standards, and delivery metrics.
• Build a high-performing engineering organization through recruiting, coaching, and leadership development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, customers, and ecosystem partners to align roadmaps with requirements.
