Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a CryoCMOS Design Team Manager in Austin, TX to lead a multidisciplinary team of 10–20 engineers focused on advanced cryogenic CMOS ICs and reusable IP. You will guide architecture, design, verification, tapeout, and silicon bring-up, ensuring successful, high-quality deliverables.

The role requires strong technical leadership across analog, RF, digital, and physical design, with a focus on differentiating IC solutions for quantum and other advanced applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Microelectronics, Applied Physics, or related technical field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant semiconductor IC design experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary IC design teams (analog, RF, mixed-signal, digital, physical).
• Strong CMOS IC design, devices, design methodologies, and silicon characterization knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary CryoCMOS IC design team of ~10–20 engineers and set priorities and execution strategy.
• Oversee end-to-end development from architecture to tapeout and characterization.
• Provide technical leadership for architecture reviews, design reviews, and risk mitigation.
• Develop differentiated IC solutions and reusable IP leveraging GF processes for cryogenic and quantum applications.
• Collaborate with PDK, modeling, test, packaging, and enablement teams to translate process capabilities into robust IC solutions.
