Job summary

GlobalFoundries in the United States is seeking a Senior Digital IC Design Engineer to develop advanced digital and mixed-signal IP for cryogenic CMOS and quantum systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE/CE/CS/Microelectronics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of digital IC/ASIC design experience.
• Experience with RTL design and verification using Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL.
• Experience with ASIC design flows including synthesis, STA, clock/reset, DFT and physical implementation.
• Strong understanding of synchronous design, CDC/Reset-DC, and low-power design concepts.
• Proficiency with industry-standard tools and debugging complex pre-silicon/silicon issues.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop digital CMOS circuits, subsystems, and reusable IP for advanced semiconductor applications.
• Own digital IC development from microarchitecture/RTL through tapeout and silicon validation.
• Develop verification strategies using simulation, assertions, coverage, and regression.
• Perform synthesis, STA, clock/reset design, power analysis, DFT, and physical implementation tasks.
• Optimize architectures for power, performance, area, and cryogenic conditions.
• Collaborate with PDK, device modeling, technology, analog, layout, and EDA teams.
• Define silicon test requirements, analyze data, and debug timing issues.
• Lead design reviews and mentor engineers; coordinate with cross-functional teams.
