Energy Transfer is seeking an Accountant to join the Crude accounting team in Houston, Texas. The role supports crude volume actualization, inventory reconciliations, and payments of transportation expenses while providing analytical reporting.

The position collaborates across operations, commercial and accounting teams and participates in monthly close activities. Strong analytical skills and a process-improvement mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Experience: 0-2 years.
• Overtime may be required during key periods.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly close process and post-close activities.
• Actualize crude oil volumes for pipeline/terminal locations and reconcile volumes.
• Process and submit transportation payments for pipeline and terminal activities.
• Settle with external customers and monitor vendor and customer balances in SAP.
• Collaborate with Scheduling, Trading and other teams to meet goals.
• Coordinate with corporate and 3rd party customers and audits.
• Maintain documentation to ensure SOX compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and automate where possible.
