Job summary

CVR Energy is seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee energy, trading, and risk management (ETRM) recognition, GL accounting, costing, and reporting for crude oil, feedstocks, and transportation operations in Texas.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Crude & Feedstocks Accounting, you will ensure SOX compliance, manage close cycles, reconciliations, and analytics, and collaborate with front/middle office, operations, FP&A, auditors, and vendors to drive accurate financial results.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in accounting; downstream energy experience preferred.
• 2+ years inventory accounting experience desired.
• Experience with Right Angle’s ETRM application desired.
• Solid GAAP, SOX, and internal controls knowledge.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting for refining, marketing, logistics activities.
• Manage close, reconciliations, settlements, and reporting for commercial activities.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and financial analytics.
• Build cross-functional relationships with front/middle office and auditors.
• Ensure contracts, policies, SOX 404 compliance, and internal controls.
