Job summary

Fairview Health Services seeks a full-time Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join the M Health Fairview Clinic network in Andover, Bass Lake, New Brighton, and Rogers. This float position performs waived to moderate testing, phlebotomy, and related duties across clinics with varied start times and one weekend shift.

The MLT works under supervision to ensure accurate results, quality control, and safe specimen handling, contributing to efficient ambulatory lab services for diverse patient

Qualifications

• Associate or higher degree in a related laboratory field with practicum or equivalent for moderate complexity testing.
• Degree in chemical/biological/medical lab science or MLT equivalent; transcripts provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived to high complexity testing per CLIA and SOP.
• Collect and process specimens with proper technique.
• Operate and maintain lab instrumentation and information systems.
• Ensure quality control and report results accurately.
• Communicate abnormal results to care team.
• Mentor new staff and students.
