Job summary

Shopify Inc. is seeking a Partner Solutions Architect, Cross-Border & Tax to lead onboarding of cross-border partners and tax providers to our platform. You will break down technical barriers, enable partners, and drive growth through strategic integrations.

You will advise on complex integrations, work with product/engineering, and manage multiple partner requests while traveling up to 20% for in-person meetings. This role blends technical consulting with partner and project management.

Qualifications

• High learning aptitude.
• You build with AI–hands-on experience using, building, and shipping with AI tools and models.
• Ecommerce and platform fundamentals; You understand how a commerce platform and its ecosystem actually work.
• Strong fundamentals in APIs (REST and GraphQL) and integration patterns.
• Solutions mindset supporting our largest and most complex partners like to push the boundaries of commerce and shipping.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills to support a wide portfolio of partners with multiple requests coming through at the same time, and the ability to re-prioritise on an ongoing basis.
• Great troubleshooting & analytical skills combined with the desire and resourcefulness to tackle challenges head-on.
• Agile project management mindset. This is not a true project management role, but does share some skills with it, especially managing expectations and prioritizing deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding of high-value cross-border commerce partners (Merchant-of-Record and duties/landed-cost providers) to Shopify's platform.
• Advise on complex integrations and provide solutions for faster build times.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Solution Engineering, Partnerships, Risk & Legal to design solutions.
• Build trusted advisor relationships during partner builds and adoption timelines.
• Travel up to 20% for in-person meetings and international travel.
