Job summary

Syngenta Crop Protection in the United States seeks a Crop Protection Sales Representative to cover the South Dakota territory. You will contribute to a high-performing district sales team and drive profitable growth by promoting Syngenta solutions to growers, retailers, and channel partners.

Required are a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture/Marketing/Science and at least 2 years in agronomy or crop protection, plus the ability to travel up to 75% weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Agriculture, Marketing, and/or Science.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in agronomy, farm, and/or retail within the crop protection or seed industry.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% weekly.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid business acumen and understanding of price/volume relationships.
• Ability to work independently with good planning and time management.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales, profit, and market share targets with channel partners and customers within the district's plan.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers in the territory.
• Liaise with channel partners and retail accounts to influence end-user demand via annual business plans.
• Create demand and educate customers about Syngenta solutions.
• Act as a steward of the Syngenta portfolio by addressing issues in partnership with Agronomy.
• Manage budget, selling expenses, and marketing funds within district guidelines.
