Job summary

Syngenta in South Dakota seeks a Golden Harvest Sales Representative to drive sales and grow our portfolio of hybrids in East Central South Dakota. This role covers Beadle, Hand, and Spink counties, with strong emphasis on consultative selling and partnerships with resellers.

The candidate should have a farming background, 2+ years in sales or leadership, and must reside in the territory to coordinate local efforts and achieve district goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Science in Agriculture or related field with farming background.
• 2+ years in sales or sales leadership; ability to work independently on a virtual team.
• Strong customer focus and proven sales and negotiation skills.
• Candidate must live in the territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide access to the industry’s broadest and most diverse portfolio of hybrids.
• Recruit, develop, and manage your team of professional resellers.
• Consultative selling, recognized expertise, and trust with your customers.
• Deliver plans and offers to targeted customers through selected channel partners.
• Create demand at the customer level, ensuring knowledge of our products and interest in Syngenta solutions.
• Coach Seed Advisors on product placement to improve customer satisfaction.
• Manage operational budget, variable selling expenses, and marketing funds within district guidelines.
• Develop territory-level business plan and Seed Advisor business plans identifying opportunities and tactics.
