Job summary

Syngenta Group is seeking a Crop Protection Sales Intern to join its Emerging Talent Program across Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois and Michigan. This paid internship runs May 2027 to August 2027 and focuses on hands-on learning in territory sales within the agriculture industry.

You will engage growers and resellers in consultative selling, manage a defined geography, and develop product and agronomic knowledge while building leadership and communication skills for a future sales career.

Qualifications

• Sophomore or junior class standing, working toward a bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field.
• Demonstrated leadership in student organizations or work experiences.
• Effective writing, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable moving violations record.
• Strong customer focus, business acumen, resilience, interpersonal savvy and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Engage growers and resellers in solution-based, consultative selling to achieve sales targets.
• Manage and support the customer base in a defined geography.
• Advise channel partners on product presentation and promotional materials.
• Identify and analyze customer needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective ways of working for the Sales Team.
• Build product and agronomic expertise and refine communication, presentation and leadership capabilities.
