Job summary

Syngenta Crop Protection is offering a Crop Protection Sales Intern position as part of an Emerging Talent Program. The role focuses on solution-based, consultative selling to growers and resellers within a defined geography, while building agronomic and product knowledge.

You will participate in an integrated learning opportunity designed to prepare you for leadership in territory sales in the agriculture industry, with exposure to day-to-day business operations and career development

Qualifications

Sophomore or junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field.
Demonstrated leadership ability in student organizations and/or work experiences.
Effective writing, presentation, and negotiation skills.
A valid driver’s license and an acceptable moving violations record.
Strong customer focus, business acumen, resilience, interpersonal savvy, and integrity.

Responsibilities

Engage growers and resellers in solution-based, consultative selling to achieve sales targets.
Manage and support the customer base in a defined geography.
Advise channel partners on the presentation of products and promotional materials.
Identify and analyze customer needs.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective ways of working that enable the Sales Team.
Develop skills and experience to further your career by building product and agronomic expertise, as well as refining your communication, presentation, and leadership capabilities.
