Job summary

Prairieland FS, Inc. is seeking an Application Specialist to deliver and apply crop protection inputs in the field under the guidance of the Location Manager. You will operate precise application equipment, maintain accurate records, and contribute to safety and compliance.

In addition to base pay, there may be overtime, commission, performance-based increases, and bonuses. CDL and pesticide licenses are required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; agronomy training a plus.
• Experience in agricultural application or related field preferred; agronomy/precision agriculture a plus.
• Strong understanding of crop protection input products, agronomy practices, and equipment operation is preferred.
• Familiarity with GPS and precision agriculture technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mix and apply crop production inputs per rates and labels, with data records.
• Maintain, repair and rebuild facilities and equipment while operating machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
• Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate application rates.
• Maintain detailed crop-application records and comply with regulations.
• Deliver products to customers and pursue sales leads.
• Manage inventory and submit crop-application records daily.
• Set up equipment for material handling and storage.
• Assess field conditions to determine timing and method.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ongoing training.
