Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama seeks a part-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for a variety of surgical and diagnostic procedures, including cardio-thoracic cases and catheterizations.

The role supports clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students and requires graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, APN-CRNA certification with Alabama Board of Nursing, ACLS, BLS, and PALS credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
• APN with CRNA Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic surgical procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
