Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) to respond to anesthetic needs and coordinate care with perioperative teams across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. You will provide anesthesia services under medical direction and participate in emergent airway management as required by the facility.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Anesthesia required.

Responsibilities

• Formulates anesthetic plan with anesthesiologist and discusses risks with patient.
• Performs line placement procedures including IV and arterial lines as permitted by the practice setting.
• Documents pre-anesthesia assessments and intraoperative care, including vital signs, drug deliveries and events.
• Maintains age-specific competencies in anesthesia techniques such as airway management, induction, blocks and general anesthesia.
• Maintains knowledge of anesthesia pharmacology and modalities, including new drugs and technologies.
• Ensures a safe practice environment by following infection control and safety protocols.
• Performs Point of Care testing as required by regulations and policy.
