Job summary

Prisma Health seeks a Nurse Anesthesiologist/CRNA to collaborate with Greenville Anesthesiology-Practice Operations in providing comprehensive anesthesia services at Patewood Memorial Hospital, Greenville. You will participate in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care under medical direction, with potential in-house or home on-call duties.

Requires Master's in Nurse Anesthesia with CRNA licensure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nurse anesthesia earned, or equivalent credentialing per practice setting.
• No previous experience required beyond program completion and regulatory licensure criteria.
• In lieu of the Master's Degree in Anesthesia, CRNAs who graduated before Dec 31, 2003 may qualify under alternative education routes.

Responsibilities

• Formulates anesthetic plan with anesthesiologist and discusses risks, benefits and options with the patient.
• Prepares for administration of anesthesia and implements the approved plan.
• Performs line placement procedures within guidelines (IV and arterial).
• Documents pre-anesthesia assessment and intraoperative anesthesia care in records.
• Maintains age-specific anesthesia skills including airway management and blocks.
• Stays current on anesthesia pharmacology, modalities and technology.
• Ensures safe practice environment to minimize infection, injury, stress, and equipment failure.
• Performs Point of Care testing as required by regulations and policy.
