Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Anesthesia required.
• No previous experience required.
• In lieu of the Master's Degree in Anesthesia, CRNAs who graduated before December 31, 2003 from an accredited program may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Formulates anesthetic plan with anesthesiologist and discusses risks with the patient.
• Performs special line placement procedures (IV/arterial) as allowed by the practice setting.
• Documents pre-anesthesia assessment and intraoperative anesthesia care with accurate charting and charges.
• Maintains age-specific competence in anesthesia techniques including airway management and general anesthesia.
• Keeps up-to-date knowledge of anesthesia pharmacology and modalities.
• Provides a safe practice environment by minimizing infection risk and equipment failure.
• Performs Point of Care testing as required by regulations.
