• Master's degree in anesthesia or CRNA with current credentials.
• Active licensure as SC RN-Advanced Practice or equivalent.
• On-call or in-house on-call availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Formulates anesthetic plan with anesthesiologist and discusses risks with patient.
• Performs line placement procedures within guidelines, including IV and arterial lines.
• Documents pre-anesthesia assessments and intraoperative care and related charges.
• Maintains competence in airway management, induction, blocks, and general anesthesia.
• Keeps up-to-date on anesthesia pharmacology and modalities.
• Ensures a safe practice environment by following infection control and safety protocols.
• Performs Point of Care testing as required by policy.
