Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to respond to anesthetic needs across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. You will administer anesthesia under the medical direction of staff anesthesiologists, coordinate care, and respond to emergent airway management as needed.

Requires a Master's in Nurse Anesthesia and SC RN-Advanced Practice licensure. May involve on-call duties and on-site work at Patewood Outpatient Center.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nurse Anesthesia required.
• SC RN- Advance Practice licensure required.
• CRNA license/certification required.

Responsibilities

• Formulates anesthetic plan with anesthesiologist and discusses risks with patient.
• Performs line placement procedures within practice guidelines.
• Documents pre-anesthesia assessment and intraoperative care in anesthesia records.
• Maintains age-specific competence in anesthesia techniques like airway management and induction.
• Keeps up-to-date on anesthesia pharmacology and modalities.
• Contributes to a safe operating room by reducing infection risks and equipment failure.
