Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for a variety of surgical and diagnostic procedures, including cardio-thoracic cases and cardiac catheterizations. Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program is required.

Current CRNA certification by the Alabama Board of Nursing, ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• CRNA certification by Alabama Board of Nursing.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic procedures.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
