Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgeries and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic procedures and catheterizations.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program and currently certified as an APN with CRNA specialty. ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program is required.
• APN with CRNA specialty cert if applicable and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic procedures.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
