Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia under the guidance of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures, including cardio-thoracic cases and cardiac catheterizations. You will also participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, CRNA certification by the Alabama Board, and current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with CRNA Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic procedures.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
