Job summary

Verto People Ltd seeks a UPS Technician to service critical power infrastructure, including UPS systems, batteries, DC power and related equipment. You will perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on customer sites within an assigned territory, ensuring safety and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires hands-on experience with mission-critical electrical systems, fault diagnosis, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

3+ years hands-on experience servicing UPS systems, battery systems, DC power equipment, and related infrastructure.
Ability to read electrical schematics and electrical documentation.
Experience using diagnostic tools and performing fault isolation and repairs.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, troubleshooting and repairs on UPS systems and related power equipment.
Diagnose electrical and control system faults using schematics, test equipment and manufacturer docs.
Install, commission and replace UPS, battery strings, monitoring systems and related infrastructure.
Respond to emergency service calls and restore customer systems with safety and quality.
Carry out battery testing, capacity testing, failure analysis and lifecycle replacements.
Complete service reports, maintenance documentation and communications with customers.
Maintain OSHA, NFPA 70E compliance and customer site requirements.
