Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center is seeking a full-time Critical Care Technician to provide indirect patient care under the supervision of the Critical Care RN. The role includes monitoring ECGs, restocking supplies, transcribing orders, and coordinating unit activities to support patient care and department operations.

The position offers full benefits with a 36-hour work week and a schedule designed for reliability and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• Monitor tech certificate (if not certified upon hire, must obtain during initial orientation).
• Certified Nursing Assistant
• BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Monitors ECG signals at the central monitoring station and notifies the RN immediately of any rhythm changes.
• Maintains department logbooks and ensures proper refrigerator temperatures and room conditions.
• Coordinates unit activities with the Charge Nurse and manages routine tasks in the patient care area.
