Job summary

Sierra Medical Center is a 170-bed acute care hospital that delivers 24/7 ER, cardiology, oncology, labor and delivery, and more. This CNA role supports the Critical Care team with indirect patient care, ECG monitoring, and stock management to ensure smooth department operations.

Under direct supervision of an RN, you will assist with patient care, transcribe orders, and communicate with families while upholding regulatory standards and quality care.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Current CNA certification in Nevada.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Advanced cardiac rhythm competency within 6 months of hire.
• Completion of Healthstream course AACN: Essentials of ECG & Dysrhythmia Monitoring within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides indirect patient care and assigned tasks under supervision of the Critical Care RN.
• Monitors cardiac rhythms via telemetry and notifies RN of any changes.
• Assists RN with patient care needs and restocks unit supplies.
• Coordinates clerical functions and communicates with patient families.
