Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services in Reno, Nevada, seeks a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to support the Critical Care/medical‑surgical units under the CCU RN. You will assist with patient care, restock supplies, and maintain accurate records, contributing to safe, compassionate, and high‑quality care.

Required: Nevada CNA certification, active BLS, and completion of ECG rhythm monitoring training within 6 months of hire; hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• State CNA certification (Nevada) required.
• BLS certification active.
• Ability to demonstrate advanced cardiac rhythm competency within 6 months.
• Completion of ECG rhythm monitoring training within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Answers the telephone and intercom in a timely and polite manner.
• Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity.
• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety, infection control and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors
• Monitors ECG signals at the central monitoring station, notifies RN immediately about sysrhythmias to the primary or charge RN

Education

High School graduate or equivalent

Current CNA certification in Nevada

Current BLS certificate

Advanced cardiac rhythm competency within 6 months of hire

Healthstream ECG & Dysrhythmia Monitoring training within 6 months of hire
