Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, is hiring a Critical Care Technician for full-time 36 hours per week with full benefits. The role provides indirect patient care, monitors ECGs, restocks supplies, and supports the Critical Care RN under supervision.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a monitor tech certificate (or the ability to obtain during orientation), a CNA credential, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• Monitor tech certificate (if not certified upon hire, must obtain during initial orientation)
• Certified Nursing Assistant
• BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Monitor ECG signals at the central monitoring station and notify RN immediately about arrhythmias.
• Maintain logbooks in the department (e.g., refrigerator temp, negative pressure room, patient admission/discharge).
• Coordinate unit activities with the Charge Nurse in a logical, systematic way.
