Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a licensed or eligible healthcare support professional to join the patient care team as a phlebotomy and EKG supportive role. The position performs phlebotomy, glucometer testing, and EKG responsibilities while assisting with routine patient care under the supervision of registered nursing staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, AHA BLS, and coursework or experience in CNA/medical assistant pathways.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy, glucometer testing and EKG responsibilities.
• Proficient in English, verbal and written communication.
• AHA BLS prior to orientation completion.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care under RN direction.
• Perform phlebotomy and glucometer testing; assist with EKGs as required.
• Conduct clerical tasks, maintain unit supplies and logs.
• Document observations in patient records and report to RN.
• Assist with CPR under supervision.
