Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) in Bratenahl, Ohio. The role involves high-acuity adult patients with CHF, COPD, DKA and sepsis, requiring EKG interpretation, central line care, and vent-assisted therapies.

Responsibilities include bedside procedures, patient monitoring, and collaborating with care teams to deliver safe, high-quality care on a 24-bed unit with rotating shifts and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or program seeking accreditation.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare providers or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Critical Care Step-Down Unit (7 West).
• Monitor patients with continuous telemetry; interpret EKGs.
• Assist with bedside procedures and intubation/ventilation support as needed.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers, and therapists to deliver patient care.
