Job summary

Valley Health in Front Royal, VA is seeking an experienced RN II to provide comprehensive patient care in the Critical Care Step Down unit. You will apply the nursing process, lead with teamwork and educate patients and families as part of a high-quality care team.

The role requires an RN license, 1872 hours of prior RN experience, and ongoing professional development. BSN is preferred, with AHA BLS certification mandatory for all staff.

Qualifications

• RN license required; eligible to practice in Virginia/West Virginia.
• Must complete required competencies and participate in performance evaluation.
• Education: RN Diploma/ASN/ADN required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, evaluation, documentation and time management.
• Direct, coordinate and implement patient teaching, quality/safety initiatives and team activities.
• Serve as Charge Nurse and contribute to department initiatives and PI activities.
