Job summary

Logan Regional Medical Center in southern West Virginia seeks a registered nurse in the stepdown unit to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care under the nurse manager's direction.

You will coordinate care delivery, educate patients and families, and ensure discharge planning and teaching are provided. Typical shifts may include nights or weekends in a high‑stress environment requiring critical thinking and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program for Registered Nursing (Required).
• Current state license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS and ACLS certifications; facility policy may require others.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a defined patient group in the stepdown unit.
• Coordinate care delivery to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Support patients and families through the care continuum.
• Collect, record, and analyze patient conditions and document changes.
