Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Transitional Cardiac Unit. You will support our 24-bed stepdown unit with a 1:4 patient ratio, delivering high-acuity care for cardiac and medical patients and assisting with clinical and administrative tasks on the unit.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, Virginia RN license or compact license, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Licensed as Registered Nurse in Virginia or has a Compact license.
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Responsibilities

Administer prescribed medications utilizing the 5 rights to medication administration, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
Interpret telemetry monitoring strips, identify cardiac rhythms and interventions to treat dysrhythmias.
Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions using computerized documentation systems.
Coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team and ensure well-coordinated patient care.
